To re-establish to concept of transparency, integrity, respect for nature for the purpose of sustainable natural resources management and poverty alleviation.

Biakwan Light Green Initiative (BLGI) is a community Based NGO in Biakwan town in Boki local government area in Cross River State of Nigeria. BLGI was formed in 1998 by members of Biakwan community in the forest zone of Boki LGA and was facilitated by Living Earth Nigeria Foundation, an international NGO on environmental protection and community health. Biakwan Light Green Initiative is registered with Cross River State government in 2002 renewed in 2020 (CRSG058) and with the CAC in 2021 (REG. NO.: 155249). BLGI has been in existence for 22 years. The mission of the organization is to re-establish the concept of integrity, transparency and respect for nature for the purpose of sustainable natural resources management and poverty eradication. Biakwan Light Green Initiative is currently coordinating CSOs in Boki LGA.
